WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU FIELD TESTING?
The ecologyst x Stanfield's Henley.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE GARMENT?
Super warm, forms well to the body without being too tight. Fairly itchy/scratchy.
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU WORE THIS GARMENT OUTSIDE.
HOW DID IT PERFORM?
I wore it during a trip up the Fraser River Canyon in April. Spring down south, still winter up north. The sweater held it's own in the wind on the banks of the Fraser.
HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT MAKE YOU FEEL?
Warm, a little itchy. Besides the itch, the fabric felt quite wholesome and about the exact opposite of putting on a low-quality t-shirt.
HOW OFTEN HAVE YOU WORN IT?
I wore it every other day on an 8-day tour of northern/Central BC.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE FABRIC?
High quality, well woven, itchy.
DID YOU FOLLOW THE WASHING/DRYING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN CLEANING THE GARMENT? IF NOT, HOW DID YOU CLEAN IT?
In all honesty, my road manager washed and dealt with the garment after our tour...
DID THE GARMENT MEET YOUR NEEDS?
I am primarily a two top layer person. Usually a t-shirt and hoodie or jacket. This shirt functioned awesome as a t-shirt/bottom layer for that reason. If the itch was reduced it would be an absolute go to for many seasons.
HOW WOULD YOU IMPROVE THIS PRODUCT?
Soften the fabric a bit. Everything else rocks. Colour, quality, thickness, warmth = 10/10.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR WEEKEND?
I spend my weekends in the garden, no gloves, digging deep. Instagram/Tweet something about love and unity in a time of political collapse and climate crisis. Singing songs in the sunshine, daydreaming about organizing the left into something effective and beautiful.
WHAT'S ONE WAY THAT YOU LEAVE THINGS BETTER?
Generosity; of spirit, money, time and support. Understanding how ways of Karma can be one of our greatest tools. Speaking out against injustice and in favour of unity and universal love.
