WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU FIELD TESTING?
The Merino Toque.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE GARMENT?
Really soft to the touch, and the ribbing is very elastic.
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU WORE THIS GARMENT OUTSIDE.
HOW DID IT PERFORM?
I wear it on my commuter on transit every day, dog walking and walking around in Wasaga Beach.
HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT MAKE YOU FEEL?
It keeps my head warm!
HOW OFTEN HAVE YOU WORN IT?
9 or 10 times.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE FABRIC?
Luxurious!
DID YOU FOLLOW THE WASHING/DRYING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN CLEANING THE GARMENT? IF NOT, HOW DID YOU CLEAN IT?
I haven't washed it yet, but when I do I will hand wash and then lay it flat to dry.
DID THE GARMENT CHANGE AFTER USE?
Not yet!
DID THE GARMENT MEET YOUR NEEDS?
Absolutely. I own your black Merino Toque as well!
HOW WOULD YOU IMPROVE THIS PRODUCT?
It works really well. One small thing that I ran into is that it tends to ride up my head and I often need to pull it down.
TELL US A STORY ABOUT YOU IN THIS GARMENT.
I was walking the dog in a mini snow storm with a headlamp on my toque and the toque under my hood. The Labrador doesn't feel the cold, but I do!
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR WEEKEND?
I would love to spend it hiking the woods, or hanging it out with friends. These days it more time taking care of ageing parents.
WHAT'S ONE WAY THAT YOU LEAVE THINGS BETTER?
I carry a pottery go-cup, a steel straw, and cutlery in my daypack. I always talk about not using single-use coffee cups or cutlery, but you have to practice what you preach too. I love that my pottery mug ALWAYS gets comments. It was made by a potter in Prince Edward County and I got to meet her in her studio.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL US?
I love the natural fibres you use for your clothes. They are more comfortable than synthetics and more eco-friendly.
