This is about my 7th order--this one is birthday present for a fmily member. I would not keep ordering them, if they did not stand up over time.

I love the feel of the fabric, and the length is perfect! Being petite I can easily wear it over tights.

This is, hands down, my most favourite shirt I've ever owned. I originally bought the plaid one, and I loved it so much I bought another in green. I wear them everywhere--to chop wood, to hike in, around the house, at a campfire, and even out for dinner. Sometimes all in the same day. In a light rain the wool makes it not even necessary to wear a jacket over top. I have owned them for about six months, wearing them SEVERAL times throughout the week and not felt the need to wash it yet. Even campfire smell is gone with a day of airing out. I am 5'8" and 165lbs and wear the medium. This gives me plenty of room to wear a few layers underneath and yet it still fits well and not overly baggy. I may very well eventually buy it in black as well. The quality of Ecologyst clothing is exceptional and my closet is slowly but surely being converted over to their clothing. Now, can you make the Hiking Pant cut for women too please??
One of my favourite shirts. Worth every penny for the quality and fit, not to mention the lifetime warranty. Plus it’s made in Canada, can’t be beat.
Probably my favourite shirt of all time: It's tough and rugged and still, dressed up a little, gets tons of compliments as business casual. The combo of black and brown (with green) let it work with whatever. The fit is perfect: comfort and mobility for whatever you're doing and still feels tailored. It's warm and breathable - cozy indoors and amazing in minus 30. The material, cut and construction are clearly the reasons for the high price - had to keep myself from wearing it every day! Just please HEED THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS! I washed it in a machine set for cold and hung it to dry and it shrank. The wool really does stay fresh and I only washed it because I was wearing it so much that it seemed strange not to wash it. Just wanted to pass this on so others don't face the same fate. Take care of your shirt so you can enjoy it for many years if not decades.
Got my shirt for Christmas - gotta say one of my very favourite presents. Ditto to everything Brock notes in the previous review. Fits very well - like being held in a warm, cozy and loving hug. Beautiful fabric. Pricey, but worth every penny. Keep up the good work, ecologyst!
The perfect winter weather shirt did not exist - or so I thought. I received this as a gift after a trip to Whistler over Christmas and have been steadily wearing this amazingly cozy shirt at least once/twice a week since! The build quality is phenomenal and this shirt replaces any need for a sweater! Perfect as a layer and sometimes I dare say that I'm almost too warm when I pair it with my jacket. Not only that but wool is a magical fabric that need not be washed and will literally never smell (or if it does, just air wash it). In terms of fit, I picked up a medium since I like my overshirts to be a bit roomier but despite this, the fit is still very flattering and for a shorter guy, the length isn't too long at all. Also, having smaller wrists is no problem here either since the second button on the sleeves allows for a nice snug fit around the wrist. I would love to see a grey one in the future or even navy because I'd totally pick up a second one in a heartbeat. While the cost may be high for some, it is extremely worth it knowing it's locally made and made of natural (and wonderful) fibres. You'll also have people complimenting you on how they can tell the shirt is of super good quality.
