Ecologyst Whistler - COVID19 Safety Plan 

Customer Transactions:

  • Debit or Credit card accepted only. No cash sales
  • Card terminal sanitized after each use
  • Disposable masks are available for customer and employee use
  • Face masks are mandatory for all employees and customers
  • Plexiglass barriers installed at both cafe customer service and retail Point of Sale

Cafe Orders:

  • All drinks will be served in takeaway, compostable cups 
  • All food will be served in takeaway compostable paper bags/containers
  • Personal 'to go' cups are currently not accepted

Disposable Condiments:

  • Compostable napkins, spoons, knives and forks 
  • Raw sugar packets available
  • Cinnamon, honey, creamer and almond milk are not accessible but if a customer asks, we are able to add to the beverage on their behalf
  • When a drink is served, the appropriate lid is placed next to the order

 Sanitization:

  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer & PPE (disposable gloves) provided at entrances, patrons must use when entering 
  • Bathrooms are not available for customer use
  • Employees using bathrooms - PPE available to wear and hand washing procedures completed before resuming work 
  • All surfaces are regularly wiped clean with regular disinfection of high-touch areas
  • Employees reminded to practice good hygiene throughout their shift with frequent and proper hand-washing
  • Plexiglass shields installed at both cafe customer service and retail point of sale area
  • Any apparel that is tried on by a customer is steam cleaned

Signage & Communication:

  • Only 2x customers allowed in the cafe space at one time
  • Only 5x customers allowed in the retail space at one time
  • Clear floor markings and pathways are mapped out from both store entrances
  • The store has a new layout of fixtures to accommodate customer traffic flow and ensure physical distancing is maintained  
  • COVID19 signage and communication displayed on both sanitary stations and in windows with clear visibility for customers/employees

Employees:

  • All employees must stay home if they are sick or have any symptoms of COVID19
  • Employees receive clear and up-to-date information about the virus so they know how to minimize its spread
  • Employees encouraged and reminded to practice good hygiene throughout the workday

  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer provided at the entrance, patrons encouraged to use when entering
