Our merino is ZQ-certified and sourced from New Zealand — meeting strict criteria for ethical and sustainable wool farming. Our 195 collection offers next-to-skin warmth and comfort with merino’s beloved thermoregulation and natural odour-resistance. At 195 gsm this jersey knit is perfect for lounging around the fire or as a base layer if you're headed outdoors. For a deep dive on all the reasons ZQ is our certification of choice, read more in our Field Notes.
All of our 195 Merino Collection features flat lock seams — sitting smoother on the skin than traditional seams and are more flexible and durable as these garments are made to move with you. Our ZQ Merino is washable wool and preshrunk — a great feature for base layer products as they’re worn close to the skin.

Fantastic
The perfect Merino base layer. Currently doing a lot of winter lake surfing in Ontario and these long johns paired with the 195 merino top are now my essential pre and post surf kit. Can’t recommend the 195 merino enough. Or Ecologyst in general for that matter! P.S. The best customer service in the industry too!!

Ready for winter
These are cute and comfy and I can’t believe I am saying this but it has not been cold enough out yet for me to wear them. This from a person who has worn a heated jacket to the movies more than once.
