The Heavy Wool Overshirt is 100% heavyweight 23oz wool, the heaviest in our Wool collections with beautiful texture and heathered colour. A minimalist utility jacket, this design features a shirt-style collar, adjustable button cuffs, clean line chest pockets, and a lined yoke at the shoulders. This design uses Corozo buttons, made from the seeds of the tagua palm tree - chosen because they are natural, durable, and scratch-resistant alternatives to plastic.

This material is Climate Beneficial™ Wool, certified by Fibershed and sourced from California - we selected it for its focus on farmers and ranchers who practice carbon drawdown, a program that regenerates soil health and sequesters carbon at higher rates than conventional practices. This method also works to build resistance to drought, improves soil water retention, increases agricultural productivity naturally, and is a form of regenerative agriculture rooted in restoring ecosystem health long term.

Made in Canada - this item was manufactured at our factory in Victoria, British Columbia. As a slow apparel company with a focus on ‘fewer, better’ we want to ensure that each piece we create is as environmentally conscious and low waste as possible.

We often find men need to size up in this garment and women stick to their true size, please reach out if you have questions regarding sizing. We are happy to assist you!

The coat I’ve been looking for

I received my coat recently and was really satisfied with the purchase. The material is heavy and stitch work is solid. It is very flattering in a minimalist, gender neutral way, which is what I’ve been looking for the whole time. I’m 162cm 49kg with a smaller/flatter frame and wider shoulders. I bought size xs and it fits nicely on the shoulders and is slightly over sized on the body. It’s a piece that I believe would look as good (maybe even better) when aged and worn as when it was new.

Easy, as always

The overshirt feels sturdy and well-made. It feels like it will last forever and that's exactly what I was looking for. I purchased a size up from my usual size because I wanted to fit sweaters under it. I can get sweaters under it, but it's a bit narrower in the shoulders than I expected. I do wonder if it might soften and fit a little easier with some wear.

Dream come true

It is the overshirt/shacket I have been searching for! It fits perfectly with or without a sweater underneath.
