Love the Anorak in cinnamon !
Received my order yesterday- I wore the Anorak (cinnamon) today with the 150 Dolman (mushroom), the 400 pullover (walnut) and the Sitka Camp Hat (Tan). Wasn’t sure if I’d be warm enough even though our temperature was less frigid than it has been of late (Brampton, Ontario). I was plenty warm - didn’t need the extra layer of the dolman tshirt at all! The large size was plenty roomy enough for layers underneath- I would usually take an XL or XXL (190lbs, 5’5”) Am so looking forward to using my Anorak regularly on my park walks - even looking forward to a rainy spring day to test it out under different conditions! Love to support Canadian businesses especially with your workplace and sustainability ethics - well done, Ecologyst! Customer Service was great, too - I had lots of questions prior to placing my order.

Best shell I have ever owned!
I am an outdoor educator, and so am always in search of the best gear that will keep me comfortable, dry, warm, and safe outside. I have been trying to slowly get away from synthetic materials, and towards organic fabrics, and this jacket has been a great addition to my gear. I originally bought it for winter expedition travel, where I would need something that was breathable, wind-proof, and big enough to layer under. This jacket outperformed when I tested it last week on a backcountry winter expedition in Algonquin Park (ON), pulling pulks and travelling on snowshoes. Unlike all of the other people on my trip who had Goretex shells, I never overheated as the jacket breathed like magic. We had very mild temperatures on one day with 2 feet of wet snow. I stayed dry and warm for the whole day, despite the outside of the jacket getting wet. When I got to camp and hung the jacket in the hot tent to dry, it dried out very fast! The fabric cut the wind nicely, and I was able to keep snacks and mitts in the kangaroo pouch. Lastly, I had no worries around our cooking fire with this jacket. Even with sparks flying, I knew that a spark would not melt or damage this jacket, unlike synthetic shells that I have burned my share of holes in. I am excited to continue wearing this throughout the winter as my shell on expedition trips in Algonquin Park. I also love the versatility of this shell, as I am sure that I will use it throughout all of the seasons! Thanks for making such a great jacket - I am so glad that I found Ecologyst!
