The Tee Takes on Bali
LOCATION: Bali, Indonesia
OCCUPATION: Hotel & Restaurant Owner
WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU FIELD TESTING?
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE GARMENT?
The Merino Wool Tee looks and feels well made.
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU WORE THIS GARMENT OUTSIDE.
HOW DID IT PERFORM?
Honestly, I was unable to have a chance to try out this tee before we left North America. The Cotton Tee is just too hot for regular Bali day wear. It's so beautiful but I think cannot be appreciated here unless perhaps climbing a volcano where it can get cold on top.
HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT MAKE YOU FEEL?
This tee makes me feel great about wearing sustainable clothing. Looking forward to wearing it in cooler climates.
HOW OFTEN HAVE YOU WORN IT?
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE FABRIC?
It's too hot for Bali, but the cotton looks durable.
DID YOU FOLLOW THE WASHING/DRYING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN CLEANING THE GARMENT? IF NOT, HOW DID YOU CLEAN IT?
I have not cleaned it, though I will most likely hand wash it.
DID THE GARMENT CHANGE AFTER USE?
DID THE GARMENT MEET YOUR NEEDS?
Not in Bali, but probably in Canada.
HOW WOULD YOU IMPROVE THIS PRODUCT?
I would prefer to wear more feminine colours.
HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR WEEKEND?
At the beach or in the tide pools with my family.
WHAT'S ONE WAY THAT YOU LEAVE THINGS BETTER?
At our restaurant and hotel, we try to be environmentally conscious in our business practices. We try to source from sustainable fish suppliers. We don't use takeaway cups as there is no way to recycle them here in Bali, so we provide takeaway mason jars instead. We provide glass straws instead of plastic. It's just a little step towards hopefully reducing the amount of plastic that ends up in our ocean.
